WWF IRELAND DICTIONARY..

*Angle*
A wrestling plot which may involve only one match or a series of match ups; The reason behind a fued.

*Blade*
The practice of cuting oneself or being cut wit a part of a razor blade hidden in tights,in order to produce juice/blood.

*Dark Match*
A match on a televised crd not seen on television,Kurt Angle was fighting on dark matchs for nearly 6 months before his offical debut.

*Draw*
To attract marks. The popularity of a wrestler,the ability to bring in marks.

*Dud*
A particularly bad and uninteresting match.

*FACE*
A good guy ,ie the Rock, Chris Jericho.

*Green*
Not good due to inexperience;Last years WM 15 the Hardy Boyz where considered for a match but were left out due to being to green.

*Hardway*
real blood produced by means other than blading. i.e. the hardway. One possible juice outcomes of a shoot.

*Heat*
Enthusiasm, a positive response. The WWF uses a heat machine for its televised shows which make them somewhat of a work.

*Heel*
A bad guy, rule-breaker.

*House*
The wrestling audience in the building said to be composed of marks

*House Show*
A non-televised event

*Foreign Object*
Something not allowed in the ring.

*Job*
a staged loss. A clean job is a staged loss by legal pinfall or submission.

*Juice*
To bleed. usually as a result of blading.

*Kayfabe*
Jargon talk- for "fake."

*Pop*
Sudden heat from a house as a response to a wrestler's entry or hot move.

*Potato*
To injure someone by bittin him on the head or causing him to hit his head on something.

*Sell*
to sell a move well is to make a move look real. Both the recipient and the performer of the move must sell the move well.

*Shoot*
The real thing. A match where one participant is really trying to hurt another. The opposite of a work. or fake.

*Spot*
An event or sequence of events which makes a particular match distinctive, a high point of a match

*Squash*
A totally passive job where one wrestler completely dominates another.

*Stiff*
Chops, hits or moves which cause real injury (though perhaps not more than a welting up of the opponent.) Bob Holly has a reputation as a stiff worker. Not a shoot, but almost.

*Strech*
a form of shoot where one wrestler dominates rather than injures the other as proof of personal superiority.

*Turn*
Change in orientation from heel to face or vice-versa.

*Work*
A deception or sham, the opposite of a shoot.

*Work Rate*
The approximate ratio of good wrestling to rest holds in a match or in a wrestler's performance.
